Opened in 2016, Wycombe Abbey School Changzhou was the first school to be established in China by Wycombe Abbey Schools International. Located in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, close to the beautiful West Taihu Lake, Wycombe Abbey School Changzhou covers an area of 25 acres and has state-of-the-art facilities. It also has its own rowing center and inflatable air dome sports stadium. The school is open to students from kindergarten to high school, with a current enrollment of around 1300 pupils. It is dedicated to cultivating leaders of the future with high aspirations and a strong sense of responsibility, and has sent large numbers of pupils to world-renowned universities. It is known for its academic excellence, its boarding system, as well as the education it provides in sports and music.
The school teaches the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and A-level (General Certificate of Education Advanced Level) curricula. IGCSEs and A-Levels are the most widely recognised examinations in the world and offer entry to all overseas universities.
The school curriculum provides students with very varied and challenging learning experiences. Rowing, rugby, fencing and hockey are among the sports on offer. The campus has a 400-meter outdoor running track, multiple floodlit tennis courts, an indoor sports fields, a water sports centre and swimming pools.
